Tile and paint calculator

About 10, diagonal 15

You need

62 tiles

that is 11.16 m² to buy

Wall paint

All wall lengths added up
Area that is not painted
Ceiling area, otherwise 0
On the tin, often 6–8

You need about

10.3 l

for 36 m²

How the calculator works

Tiles: the area is increased by the waste, divided by the area of one tile and rounded up. For straight laying, 10 % waste is usually enough; for diagonal laying or many corners, rather 15 %.

Paint: the wall area is the room perimeter times the room height, minus windows and doors, plus the ceiling if you like. Times the number of coats, divided by the coverage, gives the litres. Plan some reserve, especially on absorbent surfaces.
