Doors and windows

Put openings into walls, align and distribute them.

Doors, windows and passages always sit in a wall and move along with it.

Try it in the editor

Insert

  1. Pick the tool with O.
  2. On the right choose the type: door, window or passage, plus the style and the sizes.
  3. Move over a wall. The preview shows where the opening goes. Click to place it.

Styles

  • Doors: single, double, sliding or pocket door.
  • Windows: tilt and turn, fixed glazing and more, with a sill height.
  • Passage: an opening without a door.

Edit

Select an opening with V. You can then:

  • drag it along the wall or type the gaps to the start and end of the wall,
  • change width, height and sill height,
  • flip the hinge side and the swing of doors,
  • distribute all openings of a wall evenly.

In the Drawings view you can also move windows and doors in the facade. The floor plan follows.
