Saving, history and offline

You never need to press save. RoomPlanning keeps every change by itself.

Saved automatically

At the top right you see the status: Saved, Unsaved changes or Saving. Every change goes into your browser right away and to the server shortly after. If the browser crashes, RoomPlanning brings the latest changes back the next time you open the plan.

Version history

RoomPlanning keeps earlier states of your plan:

• when you end a session,
• after a quarter of an hour of work,
• before large changes, such as deleting a storey.

Open Version history in the menu with the three dots. Pick a state to look at it and bring it back with Restore this state. The current state stays in the history, so you lose nothing.

Working without a network

If the connection drops, just keep working. The status shows Offline – kept locally. As soon as you are online again, RoomPlanning saves everything. If you closed a plan while offline, it is saved in the background the next time you connect. At the top you see how many plans are still waiting.

Several tabs and devices

If a plan is open in two tabs, you edit it in one of them. The other shows it for viewing and can take over editing.

If the plan was saved on another device in the meantime, RoomPlanning asks: keep your version, load the other one, or save yours as a copy.
