Drawing walls

Walls are the frame of your plan. Rooms, doors, windows and roofs follow them.

Draw walls

1. Pick the wall tool with W.
2. Click the start point, then each further corner. This draws a chain of walls.
3. Clicking the start point closes the chain. A double click, Enter or Esc ends it.

Exact lengths

While drawing, simply type a length such as 3.65 or 365 cm and press Enter. The wall gets exactly that length in the direction you are pointing.

• Shift keeps the direction in steps of 15 degrees.
• Alt turns snapping off for the moment.

Thickness, reference line and type

In the panel on the right you set for the next walls:

• Thickness of the wall.
• Reference line: centre, left or right. This lets you draw along the inner face, for example.
• Type: a real wall, or a room divider that only splits rooms.

Edit walls

With the select tool V, click a wall. You can then drag its ends at the handles, type its length, or bend it into an arc with the middle handle. On the right you also find a height of its own and a sloped top.
